cityLab 2015 is a summer workshop that will incorporate neighborhood history, data collection and personal stories of South Chicago. Through cityLab, the interns will conduct site visits, interview residents, and gather research to study the social, economic, and cultural landscape of South Chicago. The goal of cityLab is to collect observations regarding the past, present, and future framework of the neighborhood that will assist in understanding the community’s design and planning needs.

Landon Bone Baker Architects developed the model for this 6-week program and has led six Lab programs through the LBBA Community Workshop to date – ShadeLab, airLab, airLab 2.0, cityLab,and cityLab 2.0. This year’s cityLab Community Workshop is in partnership with Claretian Associates.
